Tourism is one of the rapidly developing sectors of Armenia. Increasing the country’s recognition and competitiveness level has always been at the forefront of state policy. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, in 2023, the tourism sector provided 9.1% of RA GDP and 10% of employment.
Despite the growth in tourism, there are problems and challenges limiting the development of the sector in Armenia, among which are the low level of recognition of Armenia in the world market, difficult access in terms of air, road, railway routes, underdevelopment of tourism infrastructure, etc.
