The two interrelated sectors of construction and real estate activities together provide 14% of Armenia’s GDP (2021), 7.5% of employment (2020) and, due to their intermediate consumption, greatly contribute to the development of other sectors as well.
The key problem in these sectors is the high level of depreciation of the housing capital, which also provides an opportunity to ensure long-term sustainable growth of the construction sector.
