As of July 2022, there are 5924 foreign citizens employed in Armenia’s IT sector, 84% of which or 4949 employees are Russian citizens, 4% are Iranians, and 2% are Belarusian citizens.
As a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war, a lot of Russian citizens moved to Armenia, particularly, 4653 out of 4949 Russian citizens employed in Armenia’s IT sector, started their work in Armenia after February of this year.
Note: IT services sector includes enterprises that carry out their business activity under the following classifiers: J58.2, J62, and J63.1, and the total share of one or more of these activities in the total turnover of the enterprise is greater than 50%. For that reason, companies like SoftConstruct and Digitain are not included in this list.
