
According to a study conducted within the framework of the German Economic Team (GET) project by Berlin Economics and Modex of the mortgage subsidy programme,, based on the cohort of beneficiaries at the end of 2024, 48% of active mortgage loans receive a refund from the state budget covering 90%–100% of their interest payments.
At the same time 27% of active mortgage loans receive a refund covering 50%–90% of their interest payments, while 24% receive a refund covering 0%–50%.
